Hell, Are You Going There? There are 54 verses in the KJV Bible that speak of Hell, and according to scripture there are lower parts or degrees of Hell. Deuteronomy 32:22 (KJV) For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains. So how does a person (body, soul and spirit-that is you) end up in hell? The answer is simple if you do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. Just keep on living the life you are living and not accept Jesus. That is your ticket directly to Hell on taking your last breath on earth. All paid for by you. You will have nobody to blame at the Great White Throne judgment, that is forthcoming, but you. Hebrews 9:27 (KJV) And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: It is my solemn duty, as pastor, to warn you about Hell and show you how not to end up there. This world often makes jokes about Hell like it is a mystical place of imagination. I assure you it is real. The Lord said, Matthew 25:41 (KJV) Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:" God says 2 Peter 2:4 (KJV) For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast [them] down to hell, and delivered [them] into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; Do you want to go to a place so bad that it was prepared for the devil and his angels? It was not prepared for humans. As a personal testimony, my dad lived his whole life as a blue collar worker, often gone most of the week and had no burning desire to attend church on Sunday's when he was home. If he happened to get in early enough for church, he would wear his work clothes that he wore on the railroad. He showed no remorse over any of his sins. I never saw him once say that he received Jesus Christ. When he did have time at home it would be slumped in a chair listening to the radio. His marriage was a mess because of his own antics. He did not want children. I have no memories of him holding a home Bible study. He just enjoyed eating and living the life. He was well liked at work. 1 John 2:15 (KJV) Love not the world, neither the things [that are] in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. Additionally, John 15:19 (KJV) If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. According to scripture you have a choice. My dad made a conscious choice to reject Jesus. Love the world or love Jesus. Whom do you love? The Bible says, Psalm 9:17 (KJV) The wicked shall be turned into hell, [and] all the nations that forget God. Notice he says not "maybe" but "shall be." That is a promise from God, a factual spoken Word from our Lord. Psalm 55:15 (KJV) Let death seize upon them, [and] let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness [is] in their dwellings, [and] among them. So what happens are you depart earth and enter Hell for an eternity? An eternity separated from the Lord with no hope. In the case of my dad he lay in a hospital room in Virginia with small cell lung cancer. He smoked two to three packs of cigarettes a day. He did not go to Hell for smoking. He did not go to Hell because of his environment. Hell does not discriminate, both male and female go there. Proverbs 5:5 (KJV) Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell. Proverbs 9:18 (KJV) But he knoweth not that the dead [are] there; [and that] her guests [are] in the depths of hell. Proverbs 15:11 (KJV) Hell and destruction [are] before the LORD: how much more then the hearts of the children of men? So where is this Hell? It is in the heart of the earth. Proverbs 15:24 (KJV)The way of life [is] above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath. Proverbs 27:20 (KJV)Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied. So what is Hell exactly? According to scripture Isaiah 5:14 (KJV) Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it. Just continue living your life, like my dad, and reject Christ. Isaiah 14:15 (KJV) Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. Isaiah 14:9 (KJV) Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet [thee] at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, [even] all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations. Ezekiel 31:16-17 (KJV) 16 I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to hell with them that descend into the pit: and all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, shall be comforted in the nether parts of the earth. 17 They also went down into hell with him unto [them that be] slain with the sword; and [they that were] his arm, [that] dwelt under his shadow in the midst of the heathen. The Bible describes those who went to hell. They were not having a party or drinking with their friends. Ezekiel 32:27 (KJV) And they shall not lie with the mighty [that are] fallen of the uncircumcised, which are gone down to hell with their weapons of war: and they have laid their swords under their heads, but their iniquities shall be upon their bones, though [they were] the terror of the mighty in the land of the living. Hell is a place of torment. Why you ask? Because those who go there rejected Jesus Christ and his payment through his death on the cross, shedding his precious blood for Your and My sins. There is a penalty for sin. Romans 6:23 (KJV) For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:21 (KJV) For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. Why you ask because I have not done any evil. Have you ever stolen money from your parents? If you did you are a thief. Have you ever told any lies, even little white lies? If you did then you are a liar? Do you know what God says about liars? Revelation 21:8 (KJV) But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. How about your tongue? James 3:6 (KJV) And the tongue [is] a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. Here is something besides Hell. Yes, it is worse than Hell. If you go to Hell you will ultimately end up in the Lake of Fire. What else is there about Hell? There are eternal and immortal worms. Mark 9:44 (KJV) Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched. You say how can that be? When you die you have an immortal soul. It lives in your body, a shell if you will, that looks just like you but is invisible. Your human body will go to the grave but the soul lives on. Your immortal body will be able to outlast the worms and the fiery torment of the flames. You will have worms under your soul form that will take bites from you that you will feel. For an eternity. You will feel the flames of Hell for an eternity. Imagine having third degree burns over your entire body all at once. You may not fear the Lord now, but you will. Matthew 10:28 (KJV) And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. God does not send you to Hell, you send yourself. Luke 12:5 (KJV) But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. The Lord gave us a brief glimpse into Hell. A rich man died here is what happened. Luke 16:23 (KJV) And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. Luke 16:24 (KJV) And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. Imagine an eternal liquid fire that does not consume your soul, just allows for burning. What will I be able to do in Hell? First you will be in serious pain, your soul will be able to see. "Lift up his eyes...seeth." You will the have an ability to think even of others. You will have memories of all the chances you had to accept Christ. Luke 16:25 (KJV) But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. You will still have your old nature and even argue with Father Abraham. Luke 16:27-31 (KJV) 27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: 28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. 29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. 30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. 31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. Revelation 20:10-15 (KJV) 10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet [are], and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. 11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is [the book] of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Now that you have a glimpse of Hell we go back to my dad. In 2005 at 8:00 a.m. My dad had an appointment with death. The third floor nurses were there and had to leave the room as my dad, yes some pain, but mostly because he was slipping into Hell. He was screaming so loud you could have heard him a block away. Then suddenly he was gone. In Hell he lift up his eyes. Romans 5:12 (KJV) Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: that one Man was Adam in the Garden of Eden. Jesus was born of a virgin, God incarnate, did no sin but gave his life for an atonement for your sin. Romans 3:23 (KJV) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; The Bible says today is the day for you to be saved from Hell. Jesus has been calling for you to accept him. 2 Corinthians 6:2 (KJV) (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now [is] the accepted time; behold, now [is] the day of salvation.) All you need do to escape Hell is Call on the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart, have faith that his blood, was your penalty he paid, and that he died and rose again the third day. He is waiting on you. What will you do with Jesus? Romans 10:9-10 (KJV) 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Just say Jesus save me, come into my heart forgive my sins and be my Savior. He will do it. Let me know if you accept Jesus. .
